Halloween Cupcake Toppers

I've seen cupcake toppers cropping up over & over again & decided it was time to give them a try. So I got designing. I striped & polka dotted, fonted & re-fonted until I was happy. Then I printed & re-designed some more, until I knew I was happy. I stuck with the traditional Halloween colors & kept them pretty simple...just I how like it.

And since I love Halloween so much...I decided you should all have the file to make your very own Halloween cupcake toppers. So here is the quick 'how to.'

First...leave your email in the comments section & become a follower & I will email you this file to use again & again!



Then print them out on white cardstock.

and then punch them with a 2" scallop or circle punch {you can borrow mine if you need to}...which believe it or not, is the tricky part. After some practice, I figured out a few tricks. First, I cut my paper into strips about 2 1/4" inches. My strips went horizontal on the page. Then I used the guides on the punch to line up the center {using the vertical stripes as my guide} both ways to get the perfect punch.

My assistant then helped me to create the perfect cupcake...okay, they were totally no-frills cupcakes, but he was happy as a lark about them!

We frosted, we sprinkled & then we attached our cute little toppers to toothpicks {i used a glue stick} & voila...done.
