If the Shoe Fits.

Back when I was feeling fall-ish...last week. The weather was looking like this.

Heavenly if you ask me. Which called for rain coats & Tortilla Soup {recipe coming sooner rather than later...but maybe later}.

Funny thing about that rain coat. This was the first time it had been used. It was a hand-me-down from one of my mom's neighbors that has a whole gaggle of well-dressed boys. We were the happy inheritors.

But the rain coat? Yeah, it hasn't seen much action.

But Scoobs upon seeing the rain declared he needed to jump on the trampoline {don't worry...there wasn't any lightening...at least no scary looking lightening...just kidding...there really wasn't any at all} and that in order to do that he needed his rain coat.

He had me stumped for a bit. I tried coaxing him out without it. Go ahead, call me 'mother of the year.' But alas, he was not to be so easily swayed. So we went a-hunting for the rain coat I had forgotten existed.

Upon finding it, I checked the size & declared it 'too small.' Again, that was not sufficient. Come hell or high water he was going to don that rain coat...even if it was sized 6-12 mos.

Yes. That was not a typo. My 3.5 year old, dare I say, fit into a 6-12 mos garment.

Is it bad to say I was proud?

You know it kind of runs in the family.

Me, at 28, may or may not have some children's sized clothing hanging in my closet.

The best was when I was at the mall in said children's sized clothing & saw a girl in the play area with the same shirt as me. It was awesome.

About a month ago a girl at church (as in no more than 12 years old girl) had the same dress on as I did. I'm not sure who felt cooler/lamer... *B
