A Simple Thank You.

What is it about a 'thank you' that makes any job or situation tolerable?  For me, it is the simple recognition of a job well done or completed that always makes me feel worthwhile & appreciated.  Some of my favorite cards that I've received are ones of thanks.  They are usually unexpected & always make me feel like a million bucks...whether deserved or not!

Recently, I owed some {a lot} of people some thanks.  Thanks for thinking of me.  Thanks for your help. Thanks.  And so, I did what I normally do.  Spend an excessive amount of time thinking about it & then putting it on paper & thinking of you.  And so, here they are.  My new thank you cards.

Up and ready in the shop.  Printed double-sided on Fine Art Linen paper & paired with Kraft paper envelopes.  I think they turned out pretty cute!   

Official?

 These showed up on my doorstep yesterday & made me feel so 'official.'  I've been needing to do it for awhile now & so here goes...more to come!  You like?

Young Woman's Theme 2011:

I work with the young women in my ward {girls ages 12-18} and this year the theme is the 13th article of faith. For their birthdays we like to have a little something for them & this year we are doing bookmarks with the theme. And I thought there might be some of you that wanted them as well.

In the event bookmarks aren't your thing...here it is in a 5x7. I thought this would be cute in a frame as well.
If you want the files...become a follower & leave a comment with your email & I will send you 'print ready' files. HURRY...I WILL ONLY BE 'GIVING' THESE AWAY FOR 1 WEEK!

I just sent the bookmarks to print & they are going to be printed on pearl paper & they have printing on the back as well saying 'Happy Birthday 2011 xyz Ward...etc.' I will take some pics when they come later this week.

'Noel' versions 2 and 3...
I am loving how version 2 turned out with the blue & red. Tammy was a smarty pants & figured out that if I designed her card to Costco's specifications, she could get their Photo Card printing rates. Who knew that existed?!? Not me. But she got hers in groups of 50 WITH envelopes for $14.99. Now that is a bargain! And while I can't guarantee my color with Costco printing, that deal is one that is hard to pass up. I am thinking of revamping that for next year for all you photo carders...what do you think?!?

and version 3...most like the original, but with some green accents.

A New Favorite?

It's a tough call, but I've been working on a card that includes this face:

and this little missy has been utterly delicious since day one. I spotted her from across the room at church when her family moved in shortly after she was born. Admittedly, I wanted to steal her & take her home with me...even with my own crying version on my lap!

Can't wait to see all these little girlies grow up!

Celebrate Baby.

it is safe to say i have a mild obsession with the mixing of bold fonts with soft scripts. i love it. even more...i love something cute for a boy...soft & dreamy, yet still masculine enough.

hope the shower was a huge success & the baby comes quick, easy & healthy!

Dying I tell you...Dying.

over how stinking cute these are. i even hesitated telling you all. instead i was going to keep them all to myself & let mine show up in your mail box & wow you. really i was. because i am selfish like that & always have high aspirations of having my own card be the 'cutest' but in reality by the time i get to mine, i am too tired to be the cutest so you get leftovers. so instead of being selfish, i am working to get some designs squared away for these cards so that they are available for everyone this Christmas {only 3 months away! can you believe it?}.

Kickin' it old school.

so my cousin turned 30 & that warranted a birthday bash...80's style. is it sad that we all loathed our 'looks' in the 80's & yet we all probably have a current pair of leggings or skinny jeans in our closets? or your kids are sporting silly bandz...so reminiscent of the rubber friendship bracelets from 2nd grade. eek. let's hope our fashion sense never gets too 80's again...you know, biker shorts will never look good again, right?

although i have to say i have a pair of skinny jeans that i CANNOT live without & Scot asked if i had pegged them because they are rolled up at the bottom. i about died. but that does not deter me one bit from wearing them just about every.single.day.

anyway, back to katie's bday bash. i hear it was radical & i hope there were slap bracelets, neon sunglasses & leg warmers to boot.
