A Bouquet

I was in Target last night & was bombarded with school supplies. It is the middle of July & already there they were. Tempting me in their bright yellow displays housing markers, crayons, pens, pencils & notebooks...oh the notebooks.

Have I ever told you I love school supplies? I could have an over abundance of school supplies & still feel the need for more. More dividers to divide things that don't exist. More notebooks to house unnecessary paraphernalia. And the writing utensils? Markers. Hi-lighters. Crayons. Pens. Too much to need. And then we have the bags. Can you ever have too many bags?

I say no. Although my husband will beg to differ.

All these supplies remind me of college and the hours spent in classrooms. Crafting. Creating. And learning. Tiny hands cutting, pasting & getting their projects 'just right.'

And so of course, I picked up a few things for the kids. Things to keep them busy on our long car ride home in the next day or two. Things to keep their minds growing & their hands occupied. Things I love & can't ever seem to get enough of.

Like Tom Hanks in You've Got Mail, if I could I would send you a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils to help you welcome in the season of schools supplies...even though we are still beaching it & soaking up the sunny days of summer...happy days to come!
